Magic Door Studio(“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This page explains the little data we handle and why.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry, we receive the details you type: your name, email address, phone number (if you include it) and your message. That’s it: there are no accounts, no marketing lists and no profiling. (Separately, we record performance statistics for the podcasts we produce; see Podcast performance data below.)

How we use it

Your enquiry is delivered straight to our studio inbox (info@magicdoorstudio.ie) and used only to reply to you. It is retained in email for as long as our correspondence stays relevant, and deleted on request.

Analytics & cookies

This site uses cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics (aggregate page counts only). It sets no tracking cookies and shares no personal data with advertisers. See our cookie policy.

Podcast performance data

We operate an internal analytics tool that records how our podcasts perform. Once a day it reads publicly reported statistics from the podcast accounts we run on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Spotify, using each platform’s official API and only with the account holder’s authorisation.

It collects aggregate figures only: follower and subscriber counts, video and episode counts, views, plays, listeners, watch time, likes, comments, shares and saves. Spotify additionally provides audience age and gender totals, which it aggregates before we receive them. We do not collect, and have no access to, the identity of any individual follower, viewer or listener, nor their messages, comments or contact details.

These figures are stored in a private spreadsheet accessible only to Magic Door Studio and used solely for internal reporting and for sharing performance summaries with prospective sponsors of the relevant show. They are never sold, never used for advertising targeting, and never shared with third parties beyond that purpose.

Data is retained for as long as the show is active so we can show trends over time. A podcast host may withdraw our access at any time through their platform account settings, and may ask us to delete their show’s collected data by emailing info@magicdoorstudio.ie.

Your rights

Under GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Email info@magicdoorstudio.ie and a human will sort it.
